The Birkebeinerløpet is a trail race of 21 km, known as Norway's largest trail race, and takes place in beautiful nature. The race, which has been held every year since 1999, starts at the Sjusjøen cross-country skiing arena and finishes in Lillehammer between Kristins Hall and Håkons Hall. With an elevation difference of 600 meters, the Birkebeinerløpet offers a varied and motivating training experience for both cross-country skiers, orienteers, and long-distance runners. In addition to the main race, the Halvbirkensom is also organized, which starts approximately halfway through the main course.
