The torchlight procession on Løvstakken is a pleasant mountain hike for both young and old, held every year to support the Cancer Society. There are no physical fitness requirements, and it’s perfectly fine to come without children. The hike up to Løvstakken begins as darkness falls and the lights of the city become visible. At the top, there is a medal ceremony, grilling, and other fun activities, before everyone lights their torches for a communal descent, with pizza, mulled wine, and gingerbread cookies served at the finish line.

Highlights

  • The journey up to Løvstakken begins as darkness starts to descend, and all the lights from the city become visible in the twilight.
  • At the top, everyone gathers for the medal ceremony, grilling sausages, and other fun activities.
  • All children participating will receive a diploma and a visit from Santa.
