Thank you for this year! It was a great joy to have so many at the start in the first year we organized the Backyard at Gaia! A little bit of rain on and off throughout the day, and plenty of rain and fog during the last two laps did not dampen the celebration we hoped this would be. Many participants mastered their first Backyard competition by starting slowly, challenging themselves to take that one extra lap, and enjoying the camaraderie with other participants. The race will also be held next year, on October 4, 2025, and we hope to see both old and new participants.
Highlights
- There were very many participants who had never run longer on that Saturday than they had on any previous day.
- For many, it was also their first attempt at a Backyard race.
- With the 140 engaged and smiling participants in the Backyard and 40 super eager runners in the family class, it was also a great experience for the organizers and partners.
