The Grensetrimmen is a recreational race that takes place on runner-friendly trails and gravel roads, with some asphalt sections on the Swedish side. The course features a few moderate inclines in the middle section but is relatively flat and easy to run. The distance is stated to be 10 km (but was measured at 9.3 km) and has remained the same since its inception in 1983. The race takes place on the first Saturday in September at Støa in Trysil.
