Jølster Marathon is one of Norway's most traditional races, featuring a marathon, half marathon, 10 km, 5 km, as well as a "Miniton" of 4.2 km for both adults and children. The race starts and finishes at Jølstrahallen in Vassenden, and the course runs back and forth along the southeast side of Jølstravatnet, through beautiful western Norwegian nature. The course records are 2:47:38 for women, set in 2022 by Silje Eklund, and 2:19:31 for men, set in 2021 by Ebrahim Abdulaziz.
