We welcome you to the mail race on May 11 and the junior festival on May 12, where both races start at 8:00 AM. The 58th mail race had great running weather and good conditions for both runners and spectators, with a total of 141 participants, including 38 in junior, senior, and veteran classes. The men's winner was Vetle Uhre Hammersvik from Førde with a time of 9:55, while the women's winner was Eli Karin Sjåstad Åsebø from Volda with a time of 14:08.
Highlights
- It was the young man Vetle Uhre Hammersvik from Førde, but with close roots from Selje, who decided the 1st mail race of 2016 in a fierce duel against last year's champion Eirik Voksøy Bringvor from Sandsøy, winning by just one second.
- We welcome you to the mail race on May 11 and the junior festival on May 12. Entrance is 150,- per day or 200,- for the whole weekend. Children under 12 get in for free.
