Welcome spring with a traditional trail run in spectacular surroundings along Iddefjorden in Halden. The Monolith Run is scheduled for April 25, 2026, and has become a tradition for many since the first race was held in 2013. Participants will experience 9 km of challenging yet scenic terrain, starting at the velodrome in Ystehede and finishing at the square in Halden city center. The course features significant elevation and some steep sections, but offers a fantastic nature experience. The race passes through areas where the raw stone for the Vigeland sculpture Monolith was quarried, reminding us of the important stone industry that provided livelihoods for many in the early 20th century.
