The Easter Marathon in Drammen has gradually become a tradition that marks an early season start for many runners in the Eastern Norway region. Organized for the 11th time by Tom-Rune Bertelsen, this year the race attracted a record number of 170 participants, who enjoyed beautiful spring conditions along the nearly flat course by the Drammenselva. Even though there was some snow and ice in certain parts of the route, the experience was nonetheless fantastic for the participants.
Highlights
- Kenneth Antonsen set a new "personal world record" in the half marathon with a time of 1:41:28.
- The winner of the half marathon was Gerhard Sletten from Oslofjord Triathlon, with a time of 2:55:26.
- Øystein Mørk from the Lier club SK Kraft won the half distance with a strong time of 1:10:28.
