Race description

Sturla's Markakarusell is an inclusive trail run for both young and old, fit and unfit. Participants can walk, jog, or run, and there is room for all levels of "markatravere." The routes primarily follow gravel roads and paths in Bragernesåsen and Hamborgstrømskogen, with several distances available, ranging from 3 km to 12 km. Race leader Svein O. Halvorsen emphasizes that this is a running carousel for everyone.

Highlights

  • This spring, Wednesday's silver medalist in orienteering won the 3-kilometer, so there are obviously significant differences in levels.
  • The best woman in the 3-kilometer race was Ane N. Høverstad from DBK with a time of 13:41, while Jon G. Løvendal from Hellas was the fastest man with a time of 11:10.
  • Now the 5-kilometer race awaits, starting from Sturlahuset at Neperudjordet, followed by the 7-, 9-, and 12-kilometer races, all starting from Sturlahuset.
