Tjomsevannet Rundt is held every year on Ascension Day, attracting around 200 participants, mostly from Søgne. The event includes walking around the lake, youth races, children's races, and a 6.5 km recreational run, as well as races of 1500m and 400m for the younger participants. Many participants walk without timing, and there are also opportunities for orientation about cultural heritage, flora, and fauna. Participants receive a beautiful mug as a prize, and the course takes place in scenic surroundings around Tjomsevannet, with the start and finish at Søgne Old Rectory.
