The Ulvøyløpet is a trail run that crosses the mountain from Stokmarknes to Melbu, where everyone can participate. It is being held for the ninth time and offers participants the chance to enjoy a nice trip over the mountain or compete in either a long or short course. The event takes place on Saturday, August 23, 2025, with a recreational start from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM and competitive classes starting at 12:00 PM. Both courses begin at Hadselhallen in Stokmarknes and finish at the community center in Melbu, with distances of approximately 10 km and under 25 km.
Highlights
- There will be a bonfire and sticks for grilling sausages at the drink station by Sorgenfri.
- The long course is changing in 2024 based on feedback from runners, and is now just under 25 km with almost 900 meters of elevation gain.
- There will be a café at Melbu by the finish line.
